A patriotic dessert that balances sweet, creamy, and tart flavors. This fruit pizza features a buttery sugar cookie crust, a smooth cream cheese filling, and a vibrant arrangement of fresh strawberries, blueberries, and bananas to create an American flag design.

Ingredients

Refrigerated sugar cookie dough, 1 roll (9 oz / 250g)
Cream cheese, 8 oz (226g), softened
Powdered sugar, 1/2 cup (60g)
Vanilla extract (non-alcoholic), 1 tsp (5ml)
Strawberries, 2 cups (148g), sliced
Blueberries, 1 cup (144g)
Bananas, 1 cup (3 slices from 1 medium banana)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C)
Roll out the sugar cookie dough on a baking sheet and press it into an 8-inch round crust
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until lightly golden; let cool completely
In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth
Stir in the vanilla extract
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled cookie crust
Place the banana slices in a horizontal band across the center for the white stripe
Arrange the strawberry slices in a red stripe above the banana band
Sprinkle blueberries in a blue stripe below the banana band to create a flag-like design
Refringe the pizza until ready to serve
