1 lb (450g) Ground Beef (85/15)
2 large Bell Peppers
1/2 medium Yellow Onion
2 tbsp Low-sodium Soy Sauce
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
Slice the bell peppers and yellow onion into uniform strips to ensure even cooking.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat until shimmering.
Add the ground beef to the hot pan and spread it out; let it cook undisturbed for several minutes to develop a brown crust.
Once the beef is browned, break it into smaller pieces and add the sliced onion.
Stir-fry until the onion is translucent and soft.
Add the bell peppers and toss frequently for 3 to 5 minutes until they are tender yet still crisp.
Sprinkle the garlic powder over the mixture.
Pour in the soy sauce, tossing everything together for another minute to glaze the beef and vegetables uniformally.
Remove from heat and serve immediately.
Use a high-smoke point oil like canola or avocado oil to prevent burning at high temperatures. For extra heat, add a pinch of red chili flakes. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
