A high-protein, nutritionally dense weeknight dinner crafted for efficiency and vibrant flavor. This recipe uses uniform searing to lock in juices, paired with a reduced, glossy teriyaki sauce that clings perfectly to tender chicken and crisp-tender broccoli. It is a reliable, scratch-made solution for busy households, delivering authentic restaurant quality in just 30 minutes without any alcohol or pork products.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb (454g) Boneless skinless chicken breast, cubed into 1-inch pieces
1 cup (150g) Fresh broccoli florets
1/2 cup (120ml) Alcohol-free teriyaki sauce
1 tbsp (9g) Toasted sesame seeds
1 tbsp (15ml) Avocado or refined coconut oil

Instructions

Cube the chicken breasts into uniform one-inch pieces to ensure consistent cooking.
Heat a heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat and add the oil.
Once the oil is shimmering, add the chicken in a single layer and sear undisturbed for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
Flip the chicken and cook for another 2-3 minutes until mostly cooked through.
Add the broccoli florets to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they become bright green and tender-crisp.
Pour the alcohol-free teriyaki sauce over the mixture.
Reduce the heat to medium and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken and broccoli evenly.
Remove from heat and garnish with toasted sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Ensure your teriyaki sauce label confirms it is alcohol-free, as many commercial brands contain mirin or sake. Serve immediately over steamed jasmine rice or quinoa for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
