Ingredients
2 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 lb ground beef
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup milk
1 egg
1 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Optional: fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
Boil potatoes in salted water until tender (10-12 minutes); drain
Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until softened (5 minutes)
Brown ground beef with onions and garlic; drain excess fat
Mash potatoes; mix with milk, egg, flour, salt, and pepper
Combine cooked beef with mashed potato mixture
Transfer to a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish
Sprinkle shredded cheese on top
Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until golden
